Love is in the Air

Love is in the air.
Satin bowerbirds have a penchant for collecting blue objects which
they display in hopes of wooing their lady loves.
I've always been fascinated by the architecture of their bowers and
the courting rituals of these exotic birds.

Cool, I didn't realize they had a preference for blue objects! The BBC documentary I saw (Planet Earth, maybe?) showed them collecting a variety of things, including dung of all things, which grew into a pile of mushrooms. Hahaha... They are very cool birds!

There are many sub-species that collect all kinds of object both man-made and natural but have no preference for color, I think it's only the satin bowerbird that seems to like blue the most.
