I left the porch light on last night.
The giant bees were attracted to it.
Alas, they were fried to a crisp.
I was able to pull this one out intact.
Poor little fellow.
He's a beauty.

Thank you Laura, I have been struggling with the settings on my digital camera. I am as amazed as you are. Most of my pictures were blurry. These four were perfect.
Sorry he flew too close to the bright white light in the sky, but very cool up close! What a great watercolor he would make and a new specimen addition...

Those spiral, super long lasting bulbs are like a bee deathtrap. I counted several caught/fried between the spirals.
